Florida SLM Driver Black Lands Truck Ride with SS Green Light

SS Green Light racing has announced that Florida Super Late Model driver Ray Black Jr. has joined the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. Black will make a minimum of six starts for the veteran team beginning with the Kroger 250 at the Martinsville Speedway (VA) on March 29th. Black is a life-long scuba diver and his 2014 NCWTS entries will run with support from a variety of diving related entities including ScubaLife, the CDA Technical Institute and the National Academy of Scuba Educators (NASE Worldwide.)

Press Box Nearly Completely Rebuilt After Last Week's Fire at SAS

Last week, fire gutted the press and scoring tower at South Alabama Speedway. Within hours, track staff were already in the process of rebuilding in advance of the March 14-16 Rattler 250 weekend. Over this past weekend, the staff along with volunteers, made huge gains to ensure that the track will have an operational press box and scoring tower for this weekend's 38th annual Rattler 250. All the wood panels and beams have been replaced and glass panels have been installed. The press and scoring tower will be ready to go when action gets underway with practice and local division features on Friday, March 14. The Rattler 250 is Sunday March 16 with Pro Late Models taking part in racing on Saturday.
April 5 FUPS Event Moved to Auburndale Speedway

The Florida United Promoters Late Model Series has announced that the April 5th race has been moved to Auburndale Speedway (FL). The 2014 season started at Auburndale where Jonathan Guy scored his first win in the series on March 8. New Grandstands Going in at Berlin Raceway

Despite snow blanketing Marne, Michigan's Berlin Raceway, work is already underway on an all-new main grandstand and suite tower at the track. As can be noted in the latest video from the track, the old main grandstand area has been leveled and work is underway for the new grandstands to be in place when the track's season kicks off with an open practice on April 5.
Five Flags Speedway Gets Revved Up With Test and Tune March 8

New England Truck Series Announces Triple Crown

American Sign Incorporated of New Haven CT will sponsor a three event triple crown as part of the New England Truck Series 2014 Season. The series within a series will take place at three selected events, and the three drivers who accumulate the most points at these events will split a bonus purse of $500 provided by American Sign. However, if one driver can find victory lane in all three events, they will claim the second and third place share as well, and take home the whole Triple Crown purse. The May 31st event at Monadnock Speedway, July 19th event at Star Speedway, and August 16th event at the Waterford Speedbowl will make up the 2014 Triple Crown.
Open Test Scheduled for Kalamazoo Speedway on April 5

The 2014 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season at Kalamazoo Speedway (MI) will commence on Saturday, April 5 with the first of two pre-season test sessions. Weather Postpones Skyler Trull Memorial at Caroilna to 3/14-15

Carolina Speedway (NC) officials have made the decision to postpone the 14th Annual Skyler Trull Memorial until next weekend March 14-15. With heavy rain and wintery mix conditions projected through 8:00 PM Friday, the decision was made to move the entire show until next weekend.
